Facts
- With 13 points there are 13 × 12 ÷ 2 = 78 connecting lines.
- The outer hexagon with its inner "Y" is a cube seen corner-on.
- Two overlapping triangles form the star tetrahedron (Merkaba) seen from above.
- Octahedron and tetrahedron shadows appear too. Use the Dimension dial on those solids to see it.
History and meaning
Named for the archangel Metatron, who in later Jewish mysticism is the heavenly scribe. The link between the angel and this diagram is modern, but it has become one of the most recognised symbols of sacred geometry.
