Fruit of Life
Thirteen circles that just touch
Take thirteen circles from the Flower of Life so that none overlap. This is the fruit, and it hides the blueprint for every Platonic solid.
- Circles
- 13
- Lines hidden
- 78
Watch it drawn with compass and straightedge, hear the chord of its lines, and turn the Dimension dial to raise its form in space.
Facts
- Centres lie on six rays at distances 0, 2 and 4 radii.
- Connect every centre to every other and you get Metatron’s Cube: 78 lines.
- 13 is also the number of spheres in Fuller’s vector equilibrium cluster.
History and meaning
In modern sacred-geometry teaching the Fruit of Life is the "blueprint of the universe", the seed from which Metatron’s Cube and all the Platonic solids can be drawn.
Across the dimensions
- Slice of Fruit of Life in 3DThe six rays of the plane become twelve in space: twenty-five spheres, none overlapping, with the flat Fruit as their middle layer.
