Vesica Piscis
Draw two circles, each centred on the other’s rim.
Every construction begins with two points and the distance between them. Swing that distance around each point and the two circles overlap in an almond: the Vesica Piscis, the "vessel of the fish".
Medieval masons began their plans with it, and it frames Christ in countless church portals. It is the womb from which the rest of this course is born.
